Food in France



The food most commonly assosiated with France has to be french fries. Although this is what the name implies, french fries are not from France. This is a mistake a majority of people make. One item of food that you will always find in a french kitchen is a baguette. This long, thin, crispy bread accompanies every meal in France. The french also have great cheeses and wine which they always eat after a great meal. Even though wine is produce all over france the main wne region is in the region. The different tastes of wine grapes grown like in many other countries French food is uauslly very simple but very fresh and full of flavour. Another food assosiated with France is foire gras. This is a rich paste made from goose gizzards. It is has a strong flavor and is a required taste. The french also eat frogs legs, snails and oysters. All of these items are more common in the south west. In the north, apples are very popular and are used for making cider. they also use a lot of sea food and cheese such as Camembert. A lot of the food in regions of france is influenced by what food they produce or the countries that border them. In the south a lot of the dishes have a Spainsh or Italian influence.
